Work on Elm Street is complete and it couldn't look nicer.  The rustic country feel of this street has been enhanced with improved sewer and belgian block edging.  Many of the existing trees have been preserved.

Florham Park Today - 8/8/08 - Brett Favre, the living football legend, is now a New York Jet and was here in Florham Park yesterday to check out the new world headquarters and training facility and quite possibly hunting grounds as well.  Just what the Jets need, a rich spoiled crybaby who found a new sandbox to play in, but wait, is this really what this guy is all about?  What is really going on here?

Like every other Jet fan in the richest and most unforgiving sports market in the world I watched from afar as the soap opera in Green Bay played out.  It's clear to me that Brett Favre never even really wanted to retire and all that whining was him feeling like he had to.  As he says chemistry is everything in winning and clearly the chemistry was gone in Green Bay and he ran out of road in Green Bay.  Nothing worse than trying to be a professional where you aren't wanted.

So here he is a New York Jet.  Is he doing this for some ego driven trip?  I don't think so... I think he really wants to play and if he wants to play here there is no reason he shouldn't play because his body is still there as is the skill.  Talk is cheap in New York and the fans will know if is heart is in this or not early on.  Was this a good move by the New York Jets?  Absolutely!

Barring injury or a complete mental meltdown by Brett the Jet's can undoubtedly win the big game and be world champions.  Farve brings wisdom and chemistry to Florham Park and the Meadowlands.  This season promises to be interesting and exciting and for me if the Jets don't win it won't be because of him if he is healthy and on the field. share your thoughts
